MINISTRIES Help us help our neighbors at North Main Street School. We are providing dessert weekly while school is in session for the Tuesday night English as a Second Lanugage classes. Acolytes Acolytes assist at services as torchbearers and servers Altar Guild The Altar Guild sets up the altar at the church for each worship service and takes care of linens and hangings Coffee Hour Hosts Bring refreshments, prepare coffee, set-up for serving, function as host at coffee hour, and are responsible for cleaning up at the end of coffee hour. Fundraising Committee Members of the fundraising committee work together on annual events such as: Monroe Village Fireworks, Tricky Tray, and the annual Election Night dinner. Lay Readers/Eucharistic Ministers Lay Readers/Eucharistic Ministers are licensed to assist at service by administering the chalice, reading lessons, and leading intercessions. Lectors Lectors read the lessons and intercessions at services. Ushers Ushers welcome visitors and members, hand-out bulletins, take and present the offertory collection, and provide direction during communion. Vestry Members Serve as the lay leadership of the congregation. Members must have been received/confirmed in the Episcopal Church and are elected each year at the annual meeting. Teens who have been confirmed are eligible to serve as youth members of the vestry. To volunteer for these and other ministries, please contact Mother Alon. | |
